PinnacleART SharePoint Administrator Speaks at SharePoint Saturday Houston
PASADENA, TEXAS – May 9, 2017 – PinnacleART applauds Theresa Eller, SharePoint Administrator at PinnacleART, for being a featured speaker at a recent SharePoint Saturday event in Houston. Eller’s session, titled “Introduction to SharePoint Patterns and Practices,” discussed how to use SharePoint Patterns & Practices (PnP), a new community driven initiative. In this session, Eller specifically focused on extracting a site template from a Publishing site, creating a new subsite, and applying the site template.
SharePoint Saturday Events (SPS Events) are one-day events held in cities around the world, featuring sessions from influential and respected SharePoint professionals. In addition to SharePoint, session topics also include Office 365 new features such as PowerApps, Flow, Office 365 Groups, Planner, OneDrive for Business, and Teams; Power BI; PowerShell; and Azure. Sessions are typically categorized as business/end-user, IT Pro, and developer, with various levels (100, 200, 300, 400) in each category.
Theresa Eller is a Microsoft Office Specialist certified in SharePoint 2013 and a frequent speaker and blogger in the international SharePoint community. In the past, she has spoken at both International and U.S. SharePoint Saturdays, including those in Paris, Oslo, and Atlanta, to name a few. She is also a member and past president of the Houston SharePoint User Group. With more than nine years of SharePoint experience, Eller builds no code solutions using Office 365, SharePoint 2013, SharePoint Designer, InfoPath, and Nintex Workflows; provides SharePoint technical support; and offers training on beginner and advanced SharePoint topics. Prior to following her passion for SharePoint, Eller spent 11 years as a corporate trainer and holds a Master of Arts in Teaching and Learning with Technology.
Eller’s next speaking engagement will be at SharePoint Saturday San Antonio, on May 13, 2017. Eller’s session, “You’re the Site Collection Admin,” will help the audience learn how to be a Site Collection Admin, the top-level power user in SharePoint. The presentation will cover the basics of Site Collections and their settings, paying special attention to permissions. Important features, including the recycle bin, audit log reports, and storage metrics, will also be examined. The session will close with expert advice for successful site collection administration.
