California Water Environmental Association (CWEA) Annual Conference 2018

Gerald Fejarang, the director of water reliability at PinnalceART is participating in a pre-conference workshop on Tuesday, April 17 from 8:30 PM – 3:30 PM. The workshop titled, “Take it to the Next Level: Elevate Your Collection System Asset Management Program,” will guide attendees toward a next-level collection system program through various actions including: staff buy-in and accountability, implementing software tools, managing risk, assessing pump stations, and implementing reliability-centered maintenance.

About CWEA

The California Water Environment Association (CWEA) is a not-for-profit public benefit association of 9,300-plus water quality professionals who work for public agencies and collection systems, engineering firms, and equipment and service suppliers. CWEA members are responsible for cleaning California’s water and returning it safely to the environment. CWEA educates and certifies water quality professionals, disseminates technical information, and promotes sound policies to benefit society through protection and enhancement of our water environment. Gerald Fejarang, Director of Water Reliability

For more than 20 years, Gerald Fejarang has been passionately educating clients on the importance of a reliability-based asset management program as the Director of Water Reliability for PinnacleART. In this role, Gerald helps plant operations and maintenance (O&M) managers in the water and wastewater industries to improve their asset management programs by driving them with Reliability engineering principles.

Prior to joining the PinnacleART team, Gerald was the Senior Engineer at HydroScience Engineers where he assisted the founders with the start-up of the firm. While managing an Operations Support team for HydroScience Engineers, Gerald provided ongoing technical support for clients for process troubleshooting, developing asset management strategies, integrating Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) principals and elements with O&M programs, improving methods to O&M management and strategies, launching Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), corrective maintenance support and more. He began his career as a Student Engineer at Sacramento Regional County Sanitation District in their newly formed O&M Support unit. He later worked as a Project Engineer for HYA/Dames and Moore, and as a Senior Engineer with West Yost Associates following his time at HydroScience Engineers.

Gerald holds a Professional Engineering License in Civil Engineering for California. Additionally, he is a member of the Society for Maintenance & Reliability Professionals (SMRP), Water Environment Federation (WEF), the American Water Works Association (AWWA), and the California Water Environment Association (CWEA). During his time at CWEA, he served as the Secretary, Treasurer and Vice President.
