Pasadena, TX – June 19, 2017

As part of participation in the National Safety Council’s National Safety Month, PinnacleART hosted its annual Safety Week during the week of June 12-16. PinnacleART’s Safety Week provides an opportunity for all employees to work together and maintain our culture of safety. The week was packed with fun and informative lunch and learns, hands-on training, and several safety-focused group activities.

During the week, the following activities were offered:PinnacleART Employee Receiving Fire Extinguisher Training Certification

  • Class presented by Upbeat CPR. This course taught employees how to properly perform CPR on adults, as well as how to use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED). Employees also learned about First-Aid care for wounds, cuts and scrapes, drug overdoses, electroshocks, strokes, heart attacks, and more.

Fire Extinguisher Training

  • Interactive and hands-on Fire Extinguisher Training led by the Pasadena Fire Marshal’s Office. Not only did employees learn the basics of fire prevention, they also practiced putting out a real fire!

Good Catch of the Week

  • A  hazard recognition program in which PinnacleART employees submit hazards in or out of the workplace and the action taken to correct the hazard. The goal of this program is to prevent injuries before they happen. We’ve had 40 “good catches” submitted since the Good Catch program was launched in October of 2016.

With all of these great events, Safety Week was a success. We had 50 people participate in training and also raised around $400 for the Pasadena Fire Marshal’s Office. PinnacleART thanks all of the vendors that helped with the trainings and all the employees that participated in the Safety Week events!
